We booked this cruise very last minute due to the NCL Escape cancelling. We managed to get a Havana area inside. It was spring break with 6k so I knew I would need the private area which was great. It was so nice to escape the chaos there. For such a small area though, the service was weak. The whole ship was understaffed and the bartenders had to work the inside bar as well. Cabin was well designed though for inside. It was cleaned once daily by our room steward.

The food on board was mostly very good. Lots of variety. Some superstars: Chef's Table, Main Dining Elegant nights, Chibang, Street Eats and Shaq's. Big Misses: Cucina del Capitano...left before dessert. service was almost non-existant and food avergage to poor. The only good thing is it is included in the fare. Bonsai sushi also was bad for service, had to ask for water multiple times, no wasabi on served with sushi and no server to ask for some. The food there seemed very bland and not worth upcharge. Rudi's had decent food but service was very slow. Waiter broke a glass on my husband's entree so had to be replaced which we understood but the rest of the party ate while he watched. It was barely an apology offered which for a cover charge is pretty lame.

The service was pretty lackings. Most seemed to be going through the motions. Not bad but nothing special. There were a few superstars at the Fortune Teller bar and Brass Magnolia though. The majority were not very friendly or even condescending. It did not seem like they enjoyed their jobs much. Talking to the staff is one of the best things about cruising but this crew seemed very hard to engage.

Cabin Review

Well designed with plenty of usb and outlets. Very spacious closet. Comes with robes and access to havana sun deck with bar and small pool. Room was super quiet even during Spring Break. NEVER heard any noise in halls at night!!

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

Very Epcot looking port. We didn't get off the ship as we were just here in February and many previous cruises. Not much to do there.

Cozumel

Best port of cruise. Went to Mr. Sanchos and had a great time.

Roatan

This is a great port for a beach day. We just walked around but if I ever came back I would plan a beach day here as the water looked lovely.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Very long lines to enter garage. Needs separate line for drop offs and parking.
