The ship is beautifully done, but it’s big, so be prepared to walk a lot. We went to beautiful destinations and enjoyed the ports we visited. The casino was great, the room was clean and we had a nice view from our large window. The majority of employees/if not all were wonderful. The casino was fun and I did see some decent winners.
My biggest complaint about this particular ship, was the ...
I sailed On Carnival Mardi Gras four months prior to the cruise that this comment is based upon. As outstanding as the June cruise was my October cruise was the opposite. I have sailed with Carnival for more than twenty years, so I am well aware of both the good and not so good sides of choosing to sail on Carnival cruise ships. We normally enjoy Carnival, however this cruise we the second worst ...
It was our 5th sailing on the Mardi Gras, Cabin was on the front of the ship. It was the longest walk to/from elevator bank. Could take the stairs up to 16, then walk a bit to get the buffet etc. Could feel all the movement. This cabin has an extended Forward balcony, nice size with two chairs, table and lounge. Very quiet area. A few things I noticed less from our last cruise was the daily ...
My husband and I cruised aboard Mardi Gras in November 2022, and liked the ship so much and had "unfinished business" aboard, so we booked a second cruise on her for Sept 2023. I never understood when people would say a ship was so big that you couldn't fit everything in/see all the attractions/try all the food and drinks in a one week sailing, but after last November I understood that! So, we ...
We are long time CARNIVAL FANS! We have sailed more than 30x on Carnival.
This cruise was to celebrate a career milestone.
===> RELAXING: Mardi Gras is a beautiful ship with PLENTY of space on Serenity Deck.
===> EATING: The meal at 555 Farenheight FAR EXCEEDED our expectations. DO get the wine pairing (~$25 up charge inc. service charge) It was over the top service and quality. ...
The ship was filthy on day one, the ship leaked and definite racism was present at the serenity pool! Karen did not want the black and brown people to gather in the serenity pool and the life guard ( darker than me) obliged her. Security came and demanded the black and brown folk be quiet or get out. But the day before there was a “drunk” Karen who was louder than all the black and brown people ...
This cruise was with my husband and two young adult daughters. This was our fourth cruise and second for Carnival. I have mixed feelings about this cruise. We chose this cruise ship because we felt it would give our daughters the most options for fun things to do. As far as the ship itself, it's a beautiful ship. We were on the 15th floor which was nice to just walk up to get to the lido deck but ...
This was scheduled to celebrate my birthday and was rescheduled to to Covid by my husband.
The embarking and debarking were very easy and efficient and our room was ready when we arrived. We had preordered a water delivery and it was also in the room as expected. Our luggage took awhile to be delivered and was not delivered at the same time, but not really a big deal.
The food was awful to ...
We have two teens, ages 13 and 15 and found this ship to be one with more than enough to do for young and old. Our 2 kids, along with their cousins who were also on this trip with us really enjoyed the waterslides, the ropes course and the sports court area. My husband and I, along with our brother and sister in law, enjoyed the evening entertainment including the late night comedy shows, the ...
Since I was a first time cruiser, my daughter-in-law and son chose the itinerary for the family. I was in awe of how many different people from all walks of life I was meeting. The ship seemed so huge to me. I really appreciated getting a pamphlet of all the different options of entertainment, restaurants, etc. that was scheduled for each day and was left in the cabin. Our cabin attendant was ...
