This is the time to cruise while prices and capacity are low-it won't last! On day two of our cruise the mask mandate was lifted for all areas except the casino, theater and health center-YAY!!! With low capacity there was never an issue finding a lounger by the pool, a seat in a lounge or a table in the Lido Market. The menus in the Dining Room were great-lots of options every meal, food was all delicious with excellent presentation; waiter and assistant waiter were professional and attentive. Food choices in Lido Market were extensive and all yummy. The Dutch Cafe had soups, sandwiches and amazing desserts to offer as well as a full bar and specialty coffees. Room service was available 24/7 with lots of complimentary options as well as choices from the specialty restaurants (for an additional charge). Burgers and fries from the Dive In should not be missed-absolutely delicious. Never got around to trying the pizza or gelato. All food venues close during certain hours during the day and over night so no late night eating unless you order room service. Regular coffee and tea are available anytime from the Lido Market but coffee shops do not open until 7:00 am so if you are hoping for a latte to accompany the sunrise you may be disappointed. The enrichment talks were exactly that-informative and entertaining. The shows in the World Stage were very good, the BB Kings Blues band was off the charts GREAT! Other on board musicians were excellent as well. This cruise had two comedians and both were funny-especially enjoyed AJ Jamal. I bought the week thermal suite pass and spent at least an hour in there every day-two steam rooms, heated loungers, dry sauna and thalassotherapy pool-AHHHH! Pool and hot tub decks were lovely-plenty of chairs, towels, music and other entertainment. Holland America Line puts out a great cruise vacation that I would especially recommend to adults and those who enjoy a quieter refined cruise experience.

Cabin Review

Verandah Stateroom

The cabin had enough room to move around, plenty of storage, nice size balcony and I enjoyed the size of the shower compared to some other cruise lines. Bed was comfortable, linens were soft and the cabin came with all the amenities we could need. As always, I wanted to bring my room steward home:)
