Our last cruise was on the Coral Princess 2020, didn’t end well. So we were nervous in booking again especially as the omicron Corona virus was still raging. But we needn't have worried. Had all the tests, paper work all in order, Medallion app all filled in, breezed through embarkation, on the ship in less than 30 minute. We were met with cheers. With only 850 passengers on board (less the second week), no waiting around anywhere. Nobody skimped on mask wearing and cleaning was continuously through out the ship we felt very safe. Tested towards the end of the second week. Had to smile, here I was sitting in a chair in T shirt, shorts and flip flops surrounded by medics in full Haz Mat suits. As we tested ourselves every other days we were confident of negative result.

It felt strange to eat in the main restaurant (Coral), half empty but as usual, the staff was magnificent and the food of a high standard if limited for anyone not keen on spicy food or fish. We found the medallion net very useful if a bit tricky to set up on IPhone, but the technical bods soon sorted it out. Was amused if I lingered around the interactive screens dotted about the ship, I was wished happy birthday. It wasn’t my birthday. Sometimes the ‘dongle’ had problems at the upper deck bars, but no big deal. There were some problems with room service and the interactive state room tv drove me mad. So loss of one star

Cabin Review

The cabin was a bit tired. The interactive TVs seem to have a mind of its own
