Just back from our 4 nights on the Sunrise. All in all a very good trip, It is a different crowd than what we are used to but everyone was having fun and very congenial. I would go again. Oddities included, there was a dead bird on our balcony when we got there, my husband called it in, about 20 minutes later 2 ladies came and took pictures and verified it was dead, (like we would make that up?) and about 20 minutes after that our cabin steward came with gloves, a bag and tongs to pick it up. NOW, I know my room was free from the casino, but I expected some sort of acknowledgement or apology if not a plate of cookies or specialty dining? Nothing was ever said or sent. Next, don't get an aft balcony, almost all sun and ash from above. lesson learned, no complaints. The talent in the showroom for the two shows was excellent and the shows were innovative combining old and new songs, thumbs up there. Food was very good, except buffet desserts which always look better than they taste no matter what ship you are on, but all the dining room desserts were very good. Service was excellent from our steward to every dining and beverage server, although we had been used to twice daily service on other lines. I will say that the temperatures varied widely on the location. I found most public areas very comfortable but I am usually cold and I heard complaints that others were warm. The Italian restaurant was unbearably hot, I don't know how they had the nerve to charge. (Ours was comped or I would have left.) Both embarkation and debarkation were very fast and easy this (and the new muster station protocol) is where technology is excelling.

Cabin Review

We were in an aft balcony, dare I say too much sun? And on the very small side. But clean and practical.
