We chose the cruise on the advice of our travel agent and it was a great offer at the time but our cruise was cancelled due to COVID and the offer didn't remain the same it was more expensive even after the 25% discount the gave us. That couldn't be helped though. The deal was a casualty of COVID. The cruise was very nice. We loved all the things that were included like the excursion at every port, the wine and beer with lunch and dinner. The rooms were very nice but I would not pay extra for a balcony again. I thought the balcony was in addition to your rooms square footage but the balcony actually makes your room smaller. A French balcony would be the better choice because you have the big window but your room is larger because they haven't consumed the space to make the balcony. We didn't use our balcony at all. We went up to the top decks so you could see front back and sideways. I was disappointed that the ship didn't have even the smallest workout room. They could have given up one cabin for a small workout room. I also dearly missed not have a pool or hot tub at all. I also missed the evening entertainment. I love the small ship and the attention you get it's very cozy but the evenings were lacking very much in entertainment. I would have loved a couple of game nights. A comedian. A movie somewhere. We did have an opera singer two nights (not for everyone) and we played a game one night which was enjoyable. One night a man talked about living in the communist community and that was interesting. The ports were very nice and seemed more genuine than on an Alaskan cruise where the ports are mostly jewelry stores and gift shops. The food was good and they had high tea that I was very excited about but it wasn't very good. My friend and I agreed that the cakes and sandwiches were well presented and pretty but they must be made a good bit in advance and not stored well because they didn't taste fresh. I didn't return when they did it again. I went to high tea on a princess Alaskan Cruise and it was delicious and very well done. Overall the cruise was very nice and I think we will do another Viking Cruise in the future. I think there are just trade offs. We will probably try one of the Viking larger ships next time. Oh the staff was very nice and accommodating. They seemed very happy to have guests. Oh also they were very careful about germs. We had to wear mask all the time except and meals or drinks and we had to do a COVID saliva test every day first things. I even saw staff washing walls during the day. Oh I also really liked the cabin. Lots of storage space. The most I've every had on a ship. I stayed in a hotel on our return that had less storage space that my cruise cabin.

Cabin Review

Cabin was very nice, comfortable. Lots of storage to hide things away out of site. Very clean attractive and well maintained.
