A little different to other cruises we have been on and started poorly when we were not pre advised that we would need to go in a coach to have a lateral flow covid test done which took approx 1 1/2 hours before we were then brought back to begin boarding the ship.
Then when we boarded there was no really greeting we were just directed to a lift and told to go to our cabin, no itinerary, no mention of where to go for welcome drinks just instructed to our cabin, it was there we discovered we had no WiFi also the app that had been trouble since we booked was also not working so we went back to sailor services and was told as the ship was due to leave IT would come to our cabin when free, we refused this as we had already been late boarding and without the app we could not find anything out, so 2 staff started to help and have to remove and re install the app numerous times, change the passwords, change email address, pictures, accounts etc, etc which took approx an hour as was set up wrongly, by this time we had no managers intervention or apology and it was just appalling service….we could see people mingling with champagne glasses and felt we had already missed so much of the evening so asked for a drink which finally arrived and eventually we could access the app although as our details were changed we had no idea of date of births or passwords by this point. we just wanted to get in with the trip so continued on to investigate the facilities.
The ship is impressive and we booked restaurants to attend as it seems even though the app says no availability that when you visit the restaurants personally they do have spaces.
Would be nice to have a radio on TV with sleep facility, also a light in the balcony for the evening otherwise has everything we needed
