Beware! This cruise is unsafe, hazardous, a liability, and a tragedy waiting to happen. The facts are that they are grossly understaffed and the crew that is aboard is negligently trained; they are incompetent and uninformed. The staff is not fully vaccinated, although the Manager of the Hotel, has lied and sworn they are, the Captain and Medic aboard has verified otherwise. The majority of the staff wore masks around their mouths exposing their noses or they pulled them down when they spoke to you. The Captain was great! However, he had a ship to steer that was being chased by a hurricane and couldn’t manage all the untrained staff on his own, while safely managing the boat. The medic aboard was also visible, knowledgeable, and friendly.
The dining room is running on 12 out of 21 servers, our meals were long, incorrect, and sometimes inedible (raw chicken and over cooked seafood). The pastry chef was a bit of a wonderful surprise, they moved her up from a line-cook. The informal dining option was manned by a chef that refused to wear a mask or gloves. When they brought aboard someone from the corporate office to help with safety concerns- he was told about this, and the chef continued to not wear a mask after repeatedly being reminded. When my sister asked for custom food for her Chronic medical conditions, they often got the food for her, but put them out for the entire ship and had none available to her.
The cabins are in disarray. Mine had missing lightbulbs, a shower head that didn’t work, a broken towel bar, dirt in the drawers, stained bedding and mix matched furniture on the balcony. The engineer actually got locked in a storage room while attempting to fix a broken door, a crow bar was used to rescue her.
