I choose this cruise as friends of mine talked me into tagging along. It was my first cruise with MSC.
The ship is an older ship and small compared to the more modern mega ships. I prefer a smaller ship anyway. For her age the crew takes very good care of her. Only one complaint. The windows need to be cleaned more often.
I preferred to eat eat at the buffet. There was a good selection of food. I ate in the dining room once. The portions were small. On previous cruises one could get lobster and a steak, usually on formal night. This cruise that was extra for around $24.00. The night I ate in the dining room the had Rock Lobster on their Caribbean Plate. It consisted of a sliver of the lobster tail which I had to remove with my finger and was less than a bite. Also on the plate was one large shrimp and a small square piece of fish on a bed of rice.
My cabin was fine. My cabin attendant, Avinash, took good care of my room.
My partial few was pretty much looking at life boat number 12. I new that going in. I just wanted to see a little of the world outside.
MSC is doing a great job in rehabilitating this Island.
