To begin with, this is a beautiful ship - my mom treated six of us to 3 cabins with balconies and the rooms were nice, the ship appeared to be well cared for, the food was wonderful, the staff excellent and with the exception that there was NEVER a deck chair to be had, all was going very well for us. In regards to the deck chairs, you would think that with the countless daily announcements in the endless languages one would pertain to something like, "please do not save chairs for hours simply by placing towels on them unless your party is all together and actually occupying one of them." It seemed like no matter how early we got up the chairs were forever taken and we came to expect the situation as thus.
The problem for us arose on the 9th night of our trip when our cabin sprung a leak over the entryway. The "engineers" came and buckets were placed about the doorway, however, by the second night, we requested that we be moved to another cabin as we had started getting quite ill. It was smelling musty and not having any idea if this was an ongoing situation we feared for mold.
We were moved to a windowless room for the night and the next day to a balcony room that was closer to what we had booked. By this time my mate and I were quite ill and ended up spending the remainder of our trip in our room. We were told that we going to be treated to a bottle of wine for our trouble and then we were told that we were going to be receiving a "bon voyage" gift of some sort, neither was delivered regardless of the numerous calls made to check on the promised "compensation." One got the feeling they really could've cared less, so if your concern is mold, or getting good customer service or if you wish for a deck chair or two during your trip we would not recommend this line.
