we chose this cruise because of the itinerary and the various "perks" Well, regarding the free perks: Go for the free liquor package or the Specialty dining package and you could find yourself with a 5 to $600 service charge added to your checkout bill

If you want to take advantage of the "Free shore excursions" you might find that you have to add in a few hundred $$ as the tours typically cost more that the allowance.

For those of you readers who don't know what happened with this trip, here goes. After about 6 days on the ship several people came down with Norovirus. The illness spread rapidly and many passengers and crew became ill to various degrees. We were told to remain in our cabin. We were forced to miss out on our last 3 excursions. In addition, We missed out on our last Specialty restaurant dinner in the steakhouse. We were told that a nurse would come to our stateroom to evaluate our situation. She never showed up after we made 3 additional requests. We were told that the medical staff was totally overwhelmed.

Port Reviews

Puerto Quetzal (Antigua)

Lots of walking on uneven cobble type streets. And of coarse they push their JADE FACTORY. Our guide was interesting however, as she told us all about the volcano exploding several years ago killing many thousands of people.
