We had room 3512 which is an ocean view. It turned out to be two portholes. The room was OK but very noisy. At night you could here the main theater even though we were on deck 3 and it was on deck 5. Every morning we were at a port the noise in the morning was crazy. Thrusters and anchor. Our cabin steward was excellent. Walls were very thin.
Overall the service on the ship was excellent. Great bar service. Great entertainment. Windjammer service was also above average.
Our big disappointment was the food. Dinner was really hit and miss. A few nights were great and a few others left us going to the Windjammer after our formal dinner because we were still hungry. We are older (late 50's) so we do not need large portions. But the portions on this ship were ridiculous. We ate in the main dining room for breakfast one day. My wife ordered a "side" of corned beef hash. It came in a ramekin that was the size you use for ketchup. We had a back to back lunch. Which was nice. They had "shareable" items. Much like Chops. We ordered the asparagus. It was 4 small pieces. So we each had two slivers of asparagus. now we joke when we see 4 pieces of asparagus. "That is a shareable".
The Windjammer was also pretty much hit and miss. Good pizza. Good burgers and hot dogs and french fries. Everything else was hit and miss. Which I think is pretty typical for cruise ships. The big disappointment for us was the MDR.
Crew was great. Really good service and friendly people. We love the size of the ship. Never really felt that crowded.
We did not do any specialty restaurants.
Lots of kids on this cruise. The curfew for kids was 1 AM. On both of our back to back cruises we had kids running up and down the halls laughing at 11 PM at night! I guess parents do not care what their kids are doing?
Overall a nice cruise but would probably pick other cruise lines if the price was similar.
Very loud. Thin walls. Would not pick this cabin again.
