My husband, sister and brother in law sailed in early February. This was my 14th cruise, 4th with NCL and my brother-in-law's first cruise. After reading some of the recent reviews, I was afraid my brother in law would think cruising is the absolute worst, but that was not the case and he is ready to sail again!
We arrived at the port just after 12pm, and were on the ship around 1245pm. The atrium bar was extremely busy as it is the first bar people walk by when boarding the ship, so we went to the pool bar, ordered two drinks each (to save us time from going up again soon) and went to the buffet.
* Dining: We really enjoyed the buffet for breakfast and lunch throughout the week. While food stays the same, there is so much food to choose from, that you could easily have a new meal each day. The breakfast buffet has eggs benedict which are only at the start of the buffet so be sure to get these right when you walk in. Mid week, we learned Moderno offers a smaller breakfast buffet and it was really enjoyable! We put our meals together and sat outside listening to the waves and enjoying the sunshine. Cagneys is really good but I wish they would adjust the lighting--it was very dim in the restaurant and a decent amount of people used their cell phones for extra light. The Italian restaurant is also very good and if you plan on Hibacchi, go hungry as the portions are very large! At all the restaurants we had polite servers and bartenders. We were in and out of most places in an hour or so.
Standard balcony room. We were not too far from the elevators, never heard our neighbors and a good location. Pool deck was 4 flights above us, and entertainment was 3 floors below us.
