We did the all day ship-booked tour to Tulum. It was fantastic. A ferry was there next to where the ship docked, we walked to it as a group and went to Playa del Carmen. From there we boarded nice cushy air conditioned buses for about an hour's drive to Tulum. Enroute there was a bathroom and shopping stop. At the ruins we were given a history and guided tour, then had free time to further explore. There are shops and restaurants back where the buses park. 


Cozumel

We did the reef and wreck snorkling tour booked through Princess. First stop was snorkeling over the shipwreck Cali. The boat crew told us the history of the ship and what to look for underwater. After that a short ride out to a shallow reef, saw lots of fish and coral. This is an inexpensive, short snorkel trip but was perfect for us. After that we had time to explore the port town. It was clean and very comfortable to walk around. Went to a rum tasting, bought some gift items. 


Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

We did a ship's tour Dunn's River Falls and Mystic Mountain Chairlift. DH climbed the falls with a group, I walked up the boardwalk alongside the falls and took pictures. At the top were very agressive and obnoxious vendors. The chairlift was fun, longer than we'd expected, and nice views of the ship through the trees. On top there was some historical information, a restaurant and a gift shop. You could also do rides on a bobsled from the area. A shuttle took us back to the ship, we chose not to go on into town. 


Ocho Rios

We did a ship's tour that included a drive over to the French side and a beach stop. There were gift shops and a flea market type thing we had some time to shop. Then a stop at Orient Beach. No nudity in the area we were. A restaurant, beach chairs for rent. When we got back we asked to be let off in town, walked around and did some shopping. 


St. Maarten

We walked around the dock area for a while, then did a ship's tour Turtle Cove snorkeling. It was wonderful. There were about 30 people on a 54' catamaran, not crowded. Turtle Cove snorkeling over an hour with a marine biologist in the water with us talking about the area, lots of fun. Open bar on the way back, rum punch or rum & cokes. 


St. Thomas

We had no tours booked for here, but enjoyed walking around the port area, lots of shops and a huge Margaritaville with free pool and lounge chairs. The beach area beside the dock was very nice, soft white sand and lots of free lounge chairs. A good swimming area in front of it, looked like people were snorkeling too. A nice relaxing day. 


Grand Turk

great bigger than average balcony, good locating close to elevators and laundromat, quiet, tiny shower.

Again, we felt Princess did a good job.There were very short lines at customs/immigration and very good signage, directions to the taxi area.
