This was our first Celebrity cruise. The trip from Newark is quick and easy. We had perhaps the easiest boarding ever. It might have helped that we were in the Concierge class of rooms, but we went right through and ate and had our luggage within an hour or so. We found all the CruiseCritic people because we all agreed to wear Mardi Gras beads while boarding, so we could pick each other out. The aft cabin was really the way to go. The deck was gigantic and definitely sheltered from the wind. It made for giving shade when needed and sunlight when it was desired. The food, the housekeeping, and the entertainment were great. The Fitness Center might have been the best ever. I loved Newport - so much history and beauty.

I had heard about Newport forever because of the Americas Cup, but it was so much more with the homes and the history of all those rich people who vacationed there.

We had one day at sea to get to Bermuda. Bermuda was a very pleasant surprise. We are SCUBA divers, so we are used to the dirt, poverty, and desperateness of small islands, but Bermuda was clean, great architecture, very friendly people, residents with American accents (what happened to their British accents?). We visited St George, Hamilton, Horseshoe Bay, and 9 Beaches where we rented glass bottom kayaks. The beaches were very beautiful and clean. We were a little disappointed in the lack of fish, but we weren't diving, so it was not a critical part of trip. The two days back on the ship were great and we had lots to do. We had a very good cruise experience.
