My younger son turns 13 in October 2019 and wanted to go to the Splash Academy one last time before he is "too old" as his birthday gift. So, we booked this cruise when we were on NCL Escape in November 2018. Again, we learned from the same mistake, never booked our cruise too early as NCL will drop their price dramatically as they cannot sell their rooms during the regular periods of the year.
However, we still love the NCL shows although there are lesser and lesser available. The crew members are still hardworking and most of them are very good! We still love them! Drinks are still good and NCL is still kids friendly!
Overall, as a regular NCL cruiser, I am disappointed with NCL on their arrangments on the food they served. They only serve Lobster at the Ocean Blue and Caney's now, and they are not as good as other ships. The crab cakes at Q were too salty, so did the scallops at the Teppys. The lunch's menu at the two "sit-down" restaurants have not been changed during the entire 7-day-cruise. The only good thing is "The Local" still serves good Burgers, but the chefs could not hold the qualities of the wings that they served.
