My boyfriend and I took a 4 day cruise to the Bahamas from Port Canaveral on the Carnival Sensation. We stopped in Freeport and Nassau. It was the first cruise for the both of us. I am a seasoned all inclusive resort vacationer, but thought I would give cruising a try. I had been to both Freeport and Nassau prior.

The ship itself was pretty nice. The decor is outdated and gaudy but that did not bother me. The activity schedule was good, there seemed to be something going on at all times. I was shocked at how small the pool was. On our day at sea, I wanted to lay out by the pool but be facing the ocean but the way the ship was laid out, that was not an option. Serenity is the adult only area however it was not supervised at all times and there were teenagers in there occasionally. The casino and adult only comedy shows were my favorite parts.

Our cabin was much nicer than I thought. Sure it was small, but actually not as small as I was expecting. It was very clean and modern, and we had port hole windows which were great. I was pleasantly surprised by our room.

Cabin Review

Port hole windows were great, tons of closet and counter space. Definitely bring a power strip - we used it. Outlet in the bathroom didn't work for our plugs.
