We took the Alaskan cruise at the end of August on the Joy. It is a very large ship with lots of people. There was a lot of competition for everything....chairs, restaurants, the hot tons, shoes and especially elevators.

Buffet food was mediocre. Specialty dining was only slightly better if you were lucky enough to get a reservation. We booked two weeks ahead of sailing and were only able to get one night at Q and a 9 pm reservation at Cagneys for the night before our cruise was over.

The entertainment was ditto. We got reservations for one show at 10 pm but we’re too exhausted to go. The Beatles tribute band was awesome and did two shows every night. We arrived 45 minutes early and it was well worth the wait!

The mini suite was awesome. Really enjoyed the large balcony and very large bathroom
