I know everyone is entitled to their opinions and so I always read reviews with an open mind and then I like to go back and give my experience based on my travels with the cruise line. This was our 9th Carnival Cruise. To be honest we are 15 days away from Platinum so that is our goal.

Embarkation was swift and easy. This was our first VIP entrance since we were staying in a suite - and it was truly faster - but then again Carnival has made strides in improving and making this process as quick as it possible. Once on the boat - our room 7312 was ready at 1:30 as told to us inside the terminal. Our bags made it quickly to our room also. We did not buy the Drink Package (alcohol) we prefer to smuggle in Rum Runners. We did buy one over priced six pack of Sprite and Coke for mixers and a 4 pack of beer - also overpriced but a little cheaper pre-cruise. I would suggest buying and paying for as much as possible before a cruise. Tends to be cheaper and less of a bill at the end. The Internet and hub worked just fine and was quicker than experience last year on different ship. Much better and we shared on social for the adults and a basic for the two teenagers, again purchased prior to leaving.

The ship was nice. It has three small pools. So we always sat between the two pools on deck 9/10. Plenty, plenty of chairs to be had by all. You should remember their is a set of stairs in Vincent's bar which leads up to the walkway where the photos are taken and you can get to the piano bar and pixels too. We watched a video on YouTube on our exact room and some tips on navigating the ship and from their it was easy. Quick to navigate in a day or two. Food was good. They repeat the menu every week so they have it down to a science. Now you can get a molting chocolate cake for the whole table if you want. Where improvements have been made are on the sit down breakfasts and the "sea day brunch". Both were fabulous to us - since we can recall the days the sit down was the same as the buffet food wise. The bagel tower and the 24 hr French toast to die for.

Cabin Review

Cabin Ocean Suite

Cabin was big for 4 people. Couch converted to double (girls complained was to hard) was perfect in size, had a tub, jacuzzi, bidet and seperate dressing room/make up room and kind of like a walk in closet. Don't know if we can ever go back to a simple balcony. Met our needs to a "T"
