Loved the itinerary on this cruise - Grand Cayman, Roatan, Belize, Cozumel. The ship has been refurbished and is very nice. Splurge for dinner at the Crown Grill, it's well worth it! We stayed in the family suite, which was great. Note: if booking this suite, it DOES have two upper berths in the interior room. I had a hard time figuring this out before we went. So the suite actually sleeps 6 people in beds (not pull-outs) but it would be tight with that many people. There are two bathrooms, one full size with a bathtub and one standard tiny one, a living room and a large balcony. However, the suite is on the very front of the ship which makes the balcony unusable due to wind when the ship is moving. This was a little disappointing. It's a gale force wind on the balcony. The benefits that come with a suite are amazing!

The staff on this ship could not have been nicer or more accomodating. They were superb. There is a lot to do on the ship - we loved movies under the stars and trivia nights.

In terms of excursions, it all depends on what you want from the cruise. This was our first cruise that made stops (our only other cruise was to Bermuda and we were docked for three days) so I was nervous about getting back to the ship on time. We booked excursions in all the ports except Grand Cayman where we rented bikes - bad idea. Grand Cayman really isn't very bike friendly. If I had it to do again, I would take a taxi or bus to Cemetery Beach and hang out there for the day. The beach in Grand Cayman is stunning!! In Roatan, we did the Tabyana Beach Break and lunch, which I would absolutely do again. The snorkeling was AMAZING. In Belize, we did Snorkeling Wonders of the Barrier Reef which was very disappointing. It was a long boat ride out to a tiny island, which would have been fine but we were only there for about two hours (at most) and the snorkeling was disappointing. I think if I ever do it again, I'll book a private snorkeling tour. In Cozumel, we did the jeep tour - very disappointing. We were under the impression that we would be driving jeeps through the jungle and along the coastline, when in fact we drove HOT jeeps along a highway until we got to Punta Sur Ecopark. We only had about two hours on the beach. Save your money and take a taxi to one of the very close beaches and spend the day there.

Cabin Review

Family Suite Interconnecting Staterooms

Cabin S8

Loved the family suite. Tons of storage, lots of great perks, perfect for a family or close friends (we were a group of women traveling together). Two bathrooms, and a large balcony but the balcony was VERY windy when at sea. Two upper berths in the interior room so a total of 6 actual beds. The upper berths are very comfortable.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Super easy embarkation - because we were in a suite we were escorted onto the ship at 11:30, which was unexpected and really nice! We stayed at the Hilton right next door to the port the night before and took a $6 shuttle over to the ship.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

LOVED the beach, but rented bikes which I wouldn't do again. Take a taxi to a beach and hang out for the day. The beach is stunnning!
