I have been on the Breakaway from NY on 2 other occasions, in the past the staff was friendly and the food offerings had better varieties and better quality. This time around the overall experience was not good at all. The staff were not really friendly at all, most the employees came across angry. They allowed smoking in the casinos and the ventilation was horrible. The general dining restaurants were at best OK and the wait service at Teppenaki was not good at all, but the cook was very good. On the nights at the Garden Cafe that was specialty nights, it turned out to be just plain buffet food, not special at all. We had a spa balcony cabin with unlimited access to the spa, that was not a change from our prior trips, clean, private spa with limited access, so it provided some haven for time to relax. Casino was terrible, the comps are horrible, so don't plan to get a lot of comps if you are playing at the casino, they are extremely cheap. We did not travel with our kids this time, but it seemed like there was a mild amount of kids on board and seemed well behaved. We we did a shore excursion and it went well. The main reason why I gave this a poor rating is due to 4 main issues

1- Food quality overall was less than good

2- Employees just did not seem to care and were not friendly

Spa Balcony Stateroom

Stewart was very good, gave him extra tips due to his care, but he was one of only 2 employees that seemed to care

Port Reviews

Harvest Caye

Nice beach and pool in Belize where it was part of the pier, 7 minute walk from the ship , overall clean and you did not have to do any excursion
