Free style cruising is not for us! We have been on every cruise line at least once, from Disney to Princess, and sailed to ports all over the world, and NCL is definitely not the best we have experienced.

Embarkation was quick and easy, but they took our group up the elevator and we missed the embarkation photo, which was a little disappointing for all of us (9 in the group).

The cabins were neat and clean, somewhat. Very small, but the balcony was nice although a little narrow. The lack of personal bathroom products such as soaps and shampoo and lotions was disappointing. A pair of shoes and a pair of shorts were found under our bed which led us to believe the room had not been thoroughly cleaned. Not that big of a deal, but the towel animals were pitiful, if they were there at all. Kinda disappointing, as they are always a fun touch to the cabins at night. Room service was very limited as compared to other cruises we have been on.

The menu each night was very boring and the quality of the food was poor! The service was slow and very impersonal, except for two nights. We had a party of 9, which in the end turned out ok for seating - but only because we met the restaurant manager and he pulled some strings for us. Why can't reservations e made for anytime - isn't this freestyle cruising?

The kids program was poorly run and antiquated in their process. They are not even close to being in the 21st century. The lack of in room tv screen options for room service and account information is sad.

The entertainment was subpar, as well. The enetertainment in the Grand Atrium was the best, very talented musicians.

We did splurge on a sea weed spa treatment, which was very nice.

The ports of call were nice and disembarking at each port was a smooth process. I use a transport chair and tendering was very easy and the guys were very helpful.

The guest relation desk was poorly staffed and not organized at all! We visited the desk about 6 times total between the 9 of us and the attitude of the personel was snippy and rude every time.

The photo staff was very nice and service was good - although, as with other cruise ships, the price is TOO high. Price lower, sell more.

Something was missing -- it just wasn't the upscale cruise experience we were expecting for the price we paid. Needless to say, we will not sail NCL again.

Cabins were adequate, but tight for space. Closet was a nice size. Lighting over the vanity mirror was very poor and only one electrical outlet was not enough.
