For the past 20 years, my husband and I cruised at least 2-3 time per year. We have been on Royal Carnelian many times, Princess, and finally graduated to Regent and Oceania. We absolutely love Oceania, even their three smaller ships ( though they might show a sign of aging, the service, food, and bedding are amazing!). We try very hard to continue on Oceania only, however, they do not always have the dates or places we are looking for.We decided to try Vikings Sea this year. Beautiful ship, large bathrooms, but the bed and pillows were clearly made of straw. When we asked for another pillow, we were told that it was all they had.

That aside, the food was definitely inferior to any 5 star cruises. You could barely get a cup of tea after 9 pm. Being on vacation, we decided not to concentrate of these inconveniences, and enjoyed the trip.

To sum it up, although the ship itself deserves a 5 star rating, the rest, such as untrained staff, terrible bedding, very average food , and most importantly the attitude of customer relations, would keep us AWAY FROM VIKING in the future.
