Our trip to Durban to embark was an adventure of colour, vibrancy and excellent sight seeing. uShaka Sea World lived up to its wonderful reputation and provided entertainment, information and an awareness of our responsibility as custodians of the earth.

Embarkation procedures to get aboard the Musca went without a hitch and the staff are to be commended for logistical excellence.

The welcome was warm and the ship is massive and beautiful. Our balcony cabin was very comfortable and beautifully appointed. It took a while to work out where everything was, but signage is excellent and staff extremely helpful. Dinner was an absolute treat, as was brunch. For those who preferred other fare, deck 13 was the answer to everything. The arts festival aboard was excellent and anyone who complained about boredom had only themselves to blame. The excursion to Pomene Island was interesting given its limited facilities. Transfer from the ship to tender boats and back again went smoothly and was actually an exciting part of the adventure. The beautiful lounges were aesthetically pleasing and to see the transparent grand piano and hear an accomplished pianist perform was a wow moment. Disembarkation was smooth. Kudos to the wonderful crewnod MSC Musica. It was a dream holiday and we will definitely be back.
