Sail Date: Feb 2019
Cabin: Concierge Class Stateroom with Veranda

We first sailed with Celebrity Cruise Lines in 2005 on the Millennium for our Honeymoon. Since then we have sailed the Queen Mary 2 and Carnival Cruises, but we love Celebrity Cruises and now we are Captains Club members and only book with Celebrity Cruises now. We try to book cruises for our anniversary in February as often as possible.

I just want to mention that we are 54 & 58 years old because in some reviews we have heard people comment on how the EDGE should have been called the "Millennial" based on the high tech and other new non-conventional entertainment venues on board. We couldn't disagree more and we are seasoned cruise travelers. She is new, shiny, sleek, and a "breath of fresh air" and new experiences.

We booked our cruise in October 2017 for our sailing February 24th, 2019. We watched in anticipation as she was being built. I stated to get a bit nervous reading reviews on this CC website that maybe she wouldn't be a good fit for us based on other peoples reviews.. Thankfully, she is everything we were hoping she would be.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class Stateroom with Veranda

Cabin C2

Excellent stateroom. Loved the bathroom it was modern, glass shower enclosure was great no water sloshing out of the shower stall. The shower had a foot rest to use for ladies to shave their legs, and an adjustable height shower head that could be removed and hand held. We loved the storage shelfs on each side of the vanity mirror (his and hers).

People have complained that there is no drying cord, but there are hooks in the shower to hang wet bathing suits. We actually felt this was a better design than a drying cord hanging across the shower and having to duck around clothes hanging off the cord.

The stateroom does have lots of storage nooks and we were careful to keep our items consolidated in as few of these as possible so that we wouldn't leave anything behind by mistake. It's amazing how much storage is in these staterooms actually.

The closet was more than adequate in size for us. We noticed some people complaining of lack of closet space.

Some people were complaining of the space in the safe and how their I-pad's were too large for the safe. We brought our MacBook Air and never even worried that we had a need to place it into the safe. The stateroom attendant's would be fired if they stole items from the passengers. The only thing we keep in the safe is passports, credit cards, cash, health insurance cards, and our drivers license's. Therefore, we had plenty of room in our safe.

The outlets for UBS and 120V plugs around the bed are a fantastic idea and additionally they have a charging station on the desk for additional electronic devices.

I loved the large mirror over the desk with full parallel lights on each side. Even with balcony staterooms usually find it difficult to apply makeup in the staterooms on the other ships that we have sailed. This was a great addition to the stateroom.

People seem to have mixed reviews of the "Infinite Veranda's". Some people are referring to them as large ocean view windows.... Well, personally I've never had an ocean view stateroom with a window that was wall to ceiling, side to side, open to the sea.

Fabulous!!!! And, yes we even used it with the upper plexiglass down like a regular veranda. The interior bifold plexiglass doors actually don't really take up any noticeable space.

The "high-tech" stateroom controls were not too complicated for us to use (we're not very tech people 54 and 58 year olds.). And the phone app was easy to learn and very useful.

Flat screen TV was perfect location and even had a personal welcome message.

It was awesome to be able to enter out stateroom before 12:00 to drop off our personal items for the pool area on embarkation day.

But the best thing about our stateroom was our room attendant "Chico". We have sailed on Concierge Class on the Solstice Class Ships and never had a better stateroom attendant than Chico!!
