We are long time Celebrity cruisers and were anxious to sail on the new and much promoted Edge. After two weeks, we have very mixed reactions:

The ship itself is drop dead gorgeous! The art, the furniture, the cabins, the public areas are lovely. Unusual features like the Rooftop Garden, Eden, Grand Plaza, etc, are well thought out and beautifully decorated.

Some of the layout features have taken the best of Solstice class ships and changed the problem areas. Combining the Martini Bar and the Grand Plaza creates a party atmosphere that does not exist on Solstice class. Separating Guest Relations reps into separate kiosks instead of one long desk opens up the area, with fewer lines. Separating the Solstice Main Dining Room into four separate restaurants really improves the dining experience..quicker service, less noise, less crowding, etc. Fine ideas. While there were mixed opinions, we really like the Infinite Balcony.

Cabin Review

Edge Veranda Stateroom

Cabin E1

Very nice cabin with enough storage. Improved bathroom design, especially larger shower. We enjoyed the infinite veranda
