Just got back from cruising on the Edge - February 17 to 24. First, a bit about us. We've done 19 cruises - 11 Celebrity on all class of ships; 6 Princess; 1 Royal Caribbean (mega ship); and 1 Holland America. Overall, I think everyone will agree that whether you like or dislike the Edge is a matter of taste. For example, my brother thinks anything bigger than a 300 passenger ship is an abomination.....but I digress.

Overall, we LOVED the Edge. Does it have everything..no. But what it does have was great. With that said, for us there were three downsides...I'll highlight those at the end.

LOVED THE INFINITY VERANDA. We kept our folding doors open the entire time, but I guess for those that want to sit out on the balcony while keeping the room dark (maybe for a spouse that wants to sleep in) then it would be an issue. But for us, it was perfect. It lengthens the room considerably and it is totally private. You could literally stand at the rail naked and no one could possibly see you. The rooms have two configurations. One, where the bed is closer to the balcony with the lounge area closer to the door, and the other where the bed is closer to the door with the lounge area closer to the balcony. We were in 9281 with the bed closest to the balcony. This is a great arrangement for those who want to be able to look out to the ocean while in bed, and it gives you a little more room to access the closet. However, the other arrangement is fantastic if you want a larger lounge area. Since the folding doors open up completely, all you need to do is spin the balcony chairs around and you have a lounge that would easily and comfortably accommodate 5 people hanging out. So, 9281, 9285, 9289, etc. are with bed nearest to the window, while 9283, 9287,9291 etc. are with bed nearest to the door. Overall, I would have preferred the lounge area closer to the balcony to give a larger living space than having it chopped up. So, something to be aware of for next time.

LOVED THE BATHROOM - Great shower (although we were in Aqua Class so the shower is enhanced), but the space overall feels bigger, and it has a great storage drawer under the sink.
