My husband and I decided to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary and go on a cruise. It was our first. We flew from NC into Miami on the day of embarking, which went smooth but we cut it pretty close. Next time we will fly down the day before. We arranged for transportation thru Norwegian and it took us from the airport right to the door of the ship. We showed our birth certificate and ID and we were on our way.
Since this was our first cruise we have nothing to compare but we were delighted with the ship, customer service, food and drinks, and entertainment! High five with the experience. Felt pampered from beginning to end. I would not recommend taking children on this cruise due to the massive amount of adult activities and alcohol use. The very few kids I saw looked bored. I was a little disappointed that the hot tubs were not turned on until 4pm daily. But the salt water pools were refreshing. Everything was so clean and the staff encouraged everyone to sanitize hands constantly! #washywashy.
The dining options were great. The buffets and two sit down restaurants were excellent. Even the pickiest eater would be able to eat no problem. We upgraded the drink and specialty dining package. One recommendation would be to make it more clear what types of alcohol you can have with the upgraded package.
Clean, small bathroom but we only stayed in the room to sleep and get ready for the day/night. Our steward was on top of keeping our room stocked and clean. Outlet in the bathroom didn't work. The bed and pillows were very comfortable!
