The cruise was chosen because of the destination. I was very interested in going to Havana, Cuba. We booked a personal, private tour there which was fabulous.

We did not get to Great Stirrup Key because of rough seas. Since we had to tender to the island it would have been dangerous. Having had a dangerous tender experience on a Norwegian cruise years ago, I was very happy to just have another day at sea.

This cruise included the open bar. I thought that would be great, but it proved to produce LONG lines. I don't think the bars were properly staff.

Cabin Review

Inside

Cabin IB

Sink was stopped up. Because of multiple plumbing problems on the ship our cabin wasn't a stop priority. Steward did a good job, but it seemed on many fronts that the overall operational function of the ship was lacking. Traveling with friends, we all received communications in our cabin that were incorrect causing great confusion and inconvenience. The Garden Cafe didn't have coffee or cups available for breakfast the first morning. Bar lines long. Food was good but very repetitious.

Port Reviews

Key West

We did the hop on hop off bus in KeyWest. We did the Truman and Hemingway house tours. Both excellent. We also did a tour of the Pilar Rum tour. It was very informative and it is very clear that they are extremely passionate about their product, however, it was too long. The rum tasting at the end was great. Good rum!

Miami

Arriving one day before sailing to be sure we didn't have weather issues, we did our own thing in Miami. We visited establishments near our hotel.
