1st time NCL cruisers, on Jade. Have done RCCL, Princess & Celebrity & this cruise/ship definitely rates high in our opinion. May need a little refurb but is still beautiful & even though we had a couple of problems with the head & TV, they were fixed pretty quickly. We had a Mini Suite on deck 11, cabin 11618. kind mid/aft. It had plenty of storage & the balcony was a little bigger & was close to elevators. Not quite sure what was above us, no cabins, or restaurants but there was some noise early in am. But very tolerable. The food in MDR & buffet was very good and the food at Le Bistro & Cagney's was excellent!! Thoroughly enjoyed cruising on Jade & would absolutely do it again. The crew was very friendly & helpful. There was one entertainer, Carols, that we followed every night. He's very entertaining & an excellent piano player & singer. Spent the rest of the evenings in the casino. I ended up almost even & BF came out winning. Getting on & disembarking were both a breeze. The weather could have been a little better, thanks to the Polar Vortex, but it beat being in sub-zero weather. We got off at Costa Maya & did the Aviary & fed the birds & shopped around for souvenirs. Spent the day on the ship, poolside, in Belize & then got off at Grand Stirrup. The beach there is very nice & clean but there is about 10' of rocks in the water. But once you get past those it's very sandy. Would highly suggest wearing those water sandals. As usual, we hated it to end.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MB

There was plenty of storage. But the vanity in the cabin leaves much to be desired. The lighted mirror is useless. Had to use the bathroom to get ready & there is only one outlet way up high designated "razor" and of course the hair dryer was at the vanity in the cabin. A little inconvenient but tolerable for me. The cabin itself seemed to be same size a regular balcony but the balcony was a little bigger. Close to mid/aft elevators & very convenient for pool & buffet. There were no cabins or restaurants above us but did have some rolling noises early in AM but didn't last too long. Not sure what it was. Would take this cabin again.

Port Reviews

Great Stirrup Cay

Had a great time here on the beach. Only problem was the 10' of rocks in the water before you get to the sandy part. Suggest water shoes.

Costa Maya

Didn't do an excursion but did do the bird aviary & fed the birds & walked on sky bridges from cage to cage, Lots of fun for $12.00 each.
