It was our 30th Anniversary and we wanted to cross two things off of our bucket list for it; a cruise and a trip to Hawaii. It wasn’t until after we finished our cruise when we realized that although Hawaii was beautiful, we should have been wowed with our first cruise....and we were not. We spent over $8000 on this trip and this is what we got...

1). All but one of the ports were industrial, meaning that we basically paid extra for a large balcony for nothing! Since we didn’t travel at all during the day, whatever time we spent in our cabin/balcony, we looked at oil tankers, shipping containers and heard hi-lo beeps all day!

2). There were no shuttles from the ports to the downtown areas unless it was for a rental car. The rental agencies provided transportation to and from their facility.
