I chose Celebrity because I've sailed with them twice before and every experience has been excellent. Also, Edge is the newest of the fleet and I was excited to see and experience all it had to offer. Over a year of anticipation and I was so disappointed. So here goes... We sailed from the port of Fort Lauderdale and embarkation and disembarkation was easy breezy. No problems there. Upon boarding the ship, it’s absolutely gorgeous. The ship is just beautiful. I loved the art exhibited all over the ship. My favorite place to hang was Eden. Eden has 2 floating chairs that are just so comfy, they are located towards the back of the venue as you walk up the ramp.
Cabin: (Panoramic Oceanview Cabin)
We were allowed us to go directly to our room when we boarded. However, our room happened to still be in the process of being cleaned, so my friend and I decided to head to the Guest Services to confirm our dining options and head to the Spa to book appointments. Once we had everything planned and ate lunch we went back to the room to unpack. Our room was gorgeous, but they forgot to clean the draws out. There was debris in almost every draw which we thought was odd since this was one of the first sailings. Later we discovered that there were employees who utilized the room for some time before hand. In any case, our stewardess was a dear and came back to clean it out. The only complaint I have is that the phones have outdated features. There wasn’t a speaker phone button. It’s been so long since I’ve had to literally stand by the base of a phone to conduct a conversation or wait for someone to pick up. You don’t realize how much of an inconvenience it is until you’re on hold for 30 mins, when you could be multi-tasking while you wait.
Cabin was gorgeous. Nice roomy layout. Loved the blackout curtains and digital app which enhanced comfort level. Shower, water pressure was lovely.
