We chose this cruise because of its itinerary. We looked forward to seeing three ports we wanted to revisit and two we’d never seen. Sadly, the weather kept us from seeing one of the two we’d never been to. We traveled with our daughter and son-in-law. Young adults do their thing during the day. “Old” adults do their thing and we all meet up for dinner and entertainment. That said, the entertainment on this cruise was not up to our expectations. We’d cruised with Norwegian twice before and really enjoyed the shows. Not so much this time. Also the food service varied greatly depending on the venue. The service in the pub was terrible. One meal never arrived. After two additional requests and the other diner finishing, we left. The service in the Asian restaurant was also not great. The server spilled something on the table twice and even though he said oops, we still had to ask him to wipe it up both times. The food and service in the Italian and steak restaurants was excellent. The main dining room was as expected. The shore excursions were fine. We particularly enjoyed Herculaneum having been to Pompeii previously and the Game of Thrones tour in Dubrovnik.
The cabin had plenty of room but the closet space was poorly designed. The only way to access the shelves was to push all the hanging clothes out of the way. There were other storage options in the cabin, but none deep enough for folded clothes. We enjoyed the balcony and the seating area too.
