I went on this cruise as part of a group celebrating a friend's birthday. This was my first cruise experience and doubt I will ever do it again. The ship is very dated and desperately needs an upgrade. Fabric on chairs in the lounges look dirty, the main dinning room is decorated circa late 70's early 80's pink...think back to the movie Scarface.

I knew the experience was going to be disappointing shortly after boarding and waiting quite a while for the elevator. I boarded around 2PM and already the ship was full of very drunk people. I gather to be expected when it is open bar but it was sad to see how people exaggerate and consume excessively. First night people were throwing up in elevators and hallways.

Lines were long for the bar, buffet and dis-embarkations at the islands. I had to pay for all of my drinks on board because Don Julio is considered top shelf and not included in the open bar. The food at the buffet was not bad and the burgers were very good. The fruit selection could have been better (no fresh berries - only melons). We ate dinner twice in the main dining room because we could not secure any reservations for 12 people at the specialty restaurants before 9PM and some in our group could not wait that late for dinner. The dinners were average; nothing special. Service was OK but sometimes we had a hard time understanding the staff.
