My wife and I were invited on this cruise by a friend of hers whose family was having a mini family vacation. We try to do at least 1 cruise a year and this was our 9th overall. As "Fun Ships" go it was certainly more intimate without feeling like you're right on top of other passengers. We purchased the FTTF package so we were boarded and in our stateroom on the 8th floor very quickly. We actually saw very little of Wayan our room steward but he did a great job keeping our room well tended too. The crew and entertainment staff did a good job. The shows were hit and miss as far as performance and singing but let's face it, it's not broadway and some of the shows were entertaining. Food wise it is a mixed review from me, the main dining room (Bacchus) was average to below average for this cruise, we have always had very good experiences with both the food quality and the dining staff but both were disappointing this go around. We did however go to Nick and Nora's Steakhouse and this was the best Steakhouse Experience we've had. The service and the food were both spectacular and if you get a chance, order the "Art at the Table" for dessert. All in all it was a great trip and we enjoyed the ship very much with the exception of the dining room but that wasn't going to spoil our overall experience. I'd sail this ship again.

As far as the ports of call and our experience. We did the ATV Experience in Cozumel which was so much fun, we did zip lining and cave tubing in Belize which is our typical go to and never disappoints. In Roatan we sailed the Jolly Roger to go snorkeling and the catamaran and crew were both incredible as was the food. Finally in Grand Cayman we met up with some friends we met on the excursion in Roatan and we went in on a taxi to take us to the Rum Cake locations and of course to Hell. During the ride our driver also pulled over to show us other points of interest and gave us history of the island.

Finally one point i'd like to make, Carnival has a newer tradition of honoring Veterans which is great and I enjoy, on this particular cruise they helped those of us that are or were in the Marine Corps celebrate the 243'd Marine Corps Birthday by setting up a get together. We turned it into a part birthday celebration and Veterans Day Celebration. Thank you Carnival!!!
