We chose this cruise from Copenhagen to NYC because of the ports. Originally it was to stop in Amsterdam but was switched to Gothinburg, Southampton, Cobh, the Azores and NYC. We sailed between two hurricanes and this ship handled it well...that was impressive. We liked the following: sinks to wash hands in Garden Cafe; Angle balcony; Savor dining room available for card playing and games until late afternoon...much quieter and lots of space, cookies, and coffee; staff that were happy and polite; comfortable bedding; storage space in balcony cabins; Cagneys and Le Bistro; food in other restaurants was good but Garden Cafe was a jungle.
Dislikes: having to walk through casino...very smoky; staff who said "it's not my job"; arguing staff in front of guests in Moderno; bed placement next to closet, a tight squeeze; no donuts; charged for tomato juice at dinner in Manhattan Room; crowds in Garden Cafe...limited table space and not enough staff to clear tables; theatre layout...no side aisles; no chapel; only three public floors for 4000 guests, especially during weather when outside decks were off limits; and the worst was walking through wind and rain at Copenhagen port after check in. We had to go outside and walk blocks from terminal 2 to board ship...soaking wet.
Disembarkation was remarkable...fast and less than one hour. We would not cruise on this large ship again...too many people but the ports were good and that is why we chose this voyage.
Angle balcony was great although very cool while sailing due to inclement weather. Choose balcony facing rear. Lots of storage. Great Steward, Jefferson. Good sized shower and bathroom. Super location next to elevators and stairs.
We traveled with friends from NYC and they showed us the town...great post visit
Poor experience. Shuttle bus to another bus stop. No taxis. Too far to walk into town. Stayed on shuttle and returned to ship...don't go here
