This was our very first-time cruising with NCL on the Breakaway. We have cruised nine times before with other cruise lines and we must say that we were disappointed in quite a few things bit were pleased with some others.

We were quite displeased of the lack of communication in regards to the cancellation of three ports of call. Even though, weather was the reason, things were not explained clearly to passengers. Since we had three ports cancelled from the itinerary, we expected NCL to compensate the passengers in some ways. Why couldn’t they offer free admission to Margaritaville or the Ice Bar? Why did they not offer up a free specialty dining coupon? They didn’t even have any special back up entertainment. All passengers should have been offered a good faith discount coupon for a future cruise. ( most passengers probably would not use them anyways)

We were pleased with our large window family room. It was very spacious, comfy and had a large bathroom. No complaints about the room.

Cabin Review

Family Oceanview Stateroom with Large Picture Window

Cabin O1

The cabin was very comfy and large enough for the two of us. The bathroom was quite large with the double faucets and lots of storage space. Having a tub was nice but it is a very high step to get into the shower bc of the tub. There were two closets which was quite sufficient.

We were quite pleased with the location of this room. It was an easy access to the elevators.
