Visiting Eastern Med coast was our chief aim. We boarded early having booked a taxi from our hotel, the driver came rather sooner than needed but we were welcomed by CC st the port and boarded after a short wait.

Our steward, Lourdes, welcomed us too and gave very good service. However, she asked that we put our bags out before dinner on the last night as she had to move them all which was surprising.

The organisation in MDR was chaotic on the first night and we had to queue for quite a time despite having gone through the tedious process of pre booking on line before we left. It was much better Day 2 onwards. I would like to have had the same waiter every night as one particular team was very good. Our sommelier was excellent. He explained the lack of our usual wine as the container hadn’ t caught up with the ship and wine was being locally sourced. He always came up with something good though.
