I chose this ship as it was new, but after cruising on the Royal Princess 2 years ago, which is a beautiful ship, plenty of atmosphere, great menu, happy hour I felt these things were missing on this ship. I hope it adjusts for the Aussie market. It would be great to have a ship this size based in Australia. Also there is no walking track, the Royal Princess has an excellent walking and running track.

The Majestic Princess could improve the atmosphere on the ship, more activities like shows in the attrium to make more lively. Improve the menu and stock up better with Aussie wines. Also the cost of bottled water seems to have doubled. Hopefully the reviews for this ship will improve and I will enjoy another cruise from Australia in the near future. The ship is so big that it is very smooth on the ocean, hardly know where sailing.

The Vista lounge was always hard to find a seat as to many bulky seats that take up extra room. The Crooners bar could do with the glass panels removed as its used as a piano bar and it would be great to see the talented singer/pianist.

Port Reviews

Shanghai

Good tour guide. we went to Bund area Yu Gardens, lovely

Hong Kong

Went on hop on hop off bus arranged by ship with transfer to bus.

Nha Trang

went on Pedicab ride, good fun

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)

The port provided free shuttle buses to a market town approx. 40 minutes away, very good

Darwin

we used the hop on hop off bus, stopped at a lovely museum and then the wharf near town.

Shanghai

Interesting to learn about the area

Shanghai

Only half day tour and went to Bund area, a silk factory which was excellent and to the Yu gardens, lovely

Hong Kong

Enjoyed looking around this market as over 20 years since wev'e been here.

Hong Kong

The tour included a shuttle bus from ship to city to board hop on hop off bus. The tour was only for 5 hours in the morning. We were handed a sheet of paper with times for return shuttle to ship which wasn't until 5pm & 5.30. As it was raining and windy we had to pay extra to a get taxi back to port with another couple as we were all running out of money. The shuttle bus should have been provided a lot earlier so no one was happy to be left stranded and wet.

Singapore

The Singapore Orchard Gardens are beautiful and well worth the visit. We then went down Orchard Road and then to Chinatown where we stayed longer and then taxi back to port.
