The staff/crew was very accommodating to assist with the needs of my disabled traveling companion. Embarkation was expedited (as much as could be with the crowd). We arrived around 11:00AM and was on-board by noon. Next time I think we will wait until later to get to the pier. Folks showing up after 1:00 walked right on the ship with no wait. We spent the night at Hampton Inn in Cocoa. They provide a shuttle to the pier and free parking at the hotel. The ship was immaculate throughout the cruise. There wasn't even water splashed on the sinks in the public restroom areas, never saw any trash on the floors, not even a piece of tissue. Our room steward was very efficient and pleasant. We had My Time dining and it worked out great after the first night. Seemed a little disorganized the first night. We ate at Windjammer several times. Excellent food and great selection. The first port was Coco Cay Bay. The weather was awful so we pulled anchor and headed for St Thomas. Beautiful Island with great history. Next stop was St Martin. We hired a personal tour guide (Joyce Prince). You can find her on-line and she was great! She picked us up at the pier and contacted us prior to the cruise to develop a tour to our interests. She is very knowledgeable of the island & was very nice. She took us places that you don't see on normal shore excursions. We saw residential areas, beaches, downtown shopping (she knows many of the shop owners & we got some great deals). We also went to the French side capital of Marigot and visited the local market that has clothes, art, collectibles made by the locals. Also visited a great French pastry shop. The entertainment on board was excellent. The dancers, singers, illusionist (Drew Thomas) and the ice show were all great. The only issue with the entire cruise was the disembarkation. We got off the ship timely but one of our bags was put on the wrong belt so I spent an extra 1/2 hour tracking it down. I got great assistance from a woman working in customer service in the baggage area. After describing my bag to her she found it on belt 4 and personally brought it to me (our luggage was suppose to be on belt 3). All in all a great trip, great ship, great service. I have already booked our next cruise on the Freedom in October.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

We had an accessible balcony room. There was plenty of space in the room, bathroom and balcony. We needed the extra space to handle the oxygen concentrator and bottles along with the wheelchair. When we got to our cabin they had provided a heavy duty extension cord to assist with keeping all the medical equipment "charged up". Great touch to meet our needs.
