Traveled with children

We chose this cruise because we have two young girls and we didn't have a great experience with keeping them entertained on a different line. Disney by far met our expectations in that regard. The kids enjoyed the kids club enough to give us a few hours of adult time each day and there were more than enough activities outside of the kids club to do as a family.

The ship was spotless and appeared well taken care of. It did not feel too overcrowded most of the time. The exception to this was any time there was a special show or event (Christmas events, the pirate shows, etc.) Much like the amusement park it is important to get there early if you want a good spot for viewing.

Our cabin and stateroom attendant were wonderful. The cabin was all the way aft, which was inconvenient for the theaters at the front of the ship but perfect for food. The balcony was just amazing. Huge with expansive views of every port since we backed in. It had two loungers on it. We did not experience any soot but there were vibrations when pulling into and out of port. We like to get up to see the ship pull in so this wasn't an issue for us but if you are a late sleeper it may be a problem. Our stateroom attendant was just phenomenal. My husband referred to him as Mary Poppins because he did such a great job straightening up our disorganization.

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (oversized verandah)

Cabin 05E

Room was larger than average cruise balcony rooms in our experience. Having the bath tub without having to go for a mini-suite/suite was a major perk since we have young kids. The balcony was huge and we really enjoyed it. Only potential negative is that there are some vibrations when pulling into/out of ports.

Port Reviews

Castaway Cay

The included BBQ lunch was excellent and it was great to just have everything available (chairs, umbrellas, etc) already set up at no additional cost. Snorkeling wasn't great but the beach and water was perfect for young kids.

Falmouth

Originally planned to do Dunn's River Falls but an injury prevented us from doing this. We opted to just shop at the port for a little bit but found a lot of the sellers to be pushy.
