Our group of 3 couples, all friends from college, are in our mid 50's. We chose this cruise because of the destination and the fine reputation of Viking. We loved every minute! From the moment we stepped on board, I knew this was going to be fun! Their attention to detail was so impressive. Our favorite Bar staff extraordinaire, Martin, knew what we wanted before we asked! He was exceptional! All the staff was wonderful! We could have had less time in Cologne. The city was not so great. Other excursions, like the bike ride in Kinderdijk, was amazing! The Black Forest trip was also a highlight. We did an easy hike into the forest and would have loved more time here. I thought the food was very good. I didn't have a meal that I did not enjoy. One of our friends had a 24 hour virus and one of the staff(Martin) went out of his way to get him a special meal sent to his cabin. We ended our trip in Basel with a very early departure. Breakfast was served at 4:45 with with a genuine smile from all who were up to serve us! Viking is the only way I will Cruise!
