Cabin: Central Park View Balcony

What a fantastic ship and fantastic cruise vacation. We had 2 adjoining central park balcony cabins. One for my wife and I and the other for our kids ages 21, 18 and 16. We were selected for expedited check in which went relatively smoothly and we were on the ship soon after arrival. Our cabin was big enough with adequate storage. We loved the Central Park balconies as we had a lovely view day or night and could enjoy the evening guitar or keyboard performances from our balcony. Could see perfectly from where our balconies were located and sounded like we were sitting right in front of them.

We selected my time dining so we could eat early on nights with shows and then eat later if we wanted to stay on the beach longer while in port. Our first night in the American Icon grill we met Elvis and Ren. They were an amazing team and really made our dinner time special. We then requested to have Elvis and Ren every night and Royal Caribbean was able to make it happen 6 of 7 nights despite the fact we ate at different times. Can't guarantee this would work out for everyone but worked out for us. We tried all options for breakfast over the course of the week. Main dining room buffet was our favorite however the Solarium and Windjammer were good as well. The Park Café had a good English muffin Canadian bacon, egg and cheese sandwich with other continental breakfast options. Lunch we tried most free options as well. Boardwalk Dog House was OK but not great, Wipeout had good, quick options. We spent alot of time at the Solarium so ate there a couple times and was good with alot of healthy options if desired. Our only food related complaint was that after 9pm the only place to get food is at Sorrento's Pizza. Seems strange for a ship with 6,500 passengers.

The Solarium was our favorite spot on sea days. Our youngest child was 16 which is the minimum age so worked great for us. We were always able to find seating when we arrived and the seats and pool are fantastic. Quiet and relaxing time spent here. The main pools were very crowded on sea days but that is to be expected. We went hot tubbing around 10:30pm on a few nights and were able to find plenty of room in the large hot tubs. Overall we were very pleased with this considering the number of people on this ship.
