Before the cruise we stayed a few days in Fort Lauderdale and really got our vacation off to a great start. We went to an Everglades Air boat tour with Sawgrass and we had a great time. While we were early our embarkation went well, the lady showing us to our seats was a bit rude. Our cabin was 10701 and when I go on this ship again I'd choose the same type of cabin on the same floor. Our stateroom attendant, Alain was very good and kept our room in ship shape. Our dining experience was second to none! We sat at table 920, Jacob our head waiter was more around just as often as Orlando our waiter and Preroy assistant waiter and our entire wait staff was amazing and they took great care of us all. The food was delectable the chef even came out to visit our table a few nights and that was a really nice touch. My 10yr old visited Kid Camp and mostly loved it, he felt that he was picked on sometimes but his overall experience was good. The ship was is great shape I did not see any issues. I did not like that fact the minimum age limits for the Solarium is 16 and that us a huge issue for me. The bartenders throughout the ship were great, Tamala, Mapula, Micheal, Leroy and many others. There were lots of children (as expected) but they were often loud, rude and out past their curfew. I saw security once, and they stopped my 10 yr. old (who was with me) but not the other obviously teenagers. I know it can be a lot to deal with but I believe the parent should be held accountable. On example, the Pub had live music every night and there was a teen who repeatedly would go in and interrupt by doing a silly dance in the middle of all that was going on for adults. The ports were all nice to visit, San Juan and St Maarten still have a considerable amount of damage but they are still very beautiful ports. My husband and son did the ATV's in San Juan and they truly enjoyed themselves. I did the shopping tour in San Juan and I wouldn't do it again, it was not my thing. We visited the mall and it was just like malls we have at home. In St. Maarten we took a tour that visited the French and Dutch side and it was very interesting and informative. My husband and I were a part of the Love and Marriage show and the Qwest game and they were both very entertaining. I went to the Comedy show and saw Mama Mia both exceeded my expectations. I am eagerly awaiting my next RCCL cruise!
