Not a good trip, only part of it was NCL's fault

This is my 6th cruise, and second time with NCL. I had said after my last vacation with NCL that I never would book them again. But they had a really good price and itinerary, and the reviews of the ship sounded good, so my girlfriend and I took a chance.

I'd booked a balcony suite, I'd only stayed in oceanview or interior before. But when I pre-registered, I noticed they had upgraded us to a mini-suite. So I was pretty excited and thought that was pretty cool. Maybe it was because I was a past guest.

Well, the morning we were to fly out, we missed our flight because we were too late to check our bags. Thanks to American Airlines and their sorry customer service. We could have still made our flight by transferring what we could to our carry on, but we were assured we'd get a later flight on standby. We connected in Dallas and that's where it got bad. We were bumped from one flight, and we finally made it to Miami about an hour after the ship set sail.
