This is my third cruise, second with NCL, and my friends first cruise overall. I used credit card points, and paid only $75 to walk onto the ship, so I would really have to have had some major issues to be able to complain. Overall, we both felt we had a very good experience on the Pearl. My only real complain is that the air condition on the ship is not able to handle the humidity of the Caribbean. Our room was on max cool the entire week, but it never really got cool. The food was very good. We mainly ate in the main dining rooms or at Blue Lagoon. Only ate at the buffet once, it was for breakfast, and it wasn't the best. We both felt the quality of the food was to a level in the main dining rooms, that we cancelled plans to go to Cagney's. Did see the need to pay an extra $25 to get a cut of meat that was a little bit better than what we found in the main dining rooms. We did pay the $10 to eat at the Italian restaurant. It was very good, and the service was top notch. The room was plenty big enough for two people. We had plenty of storage place. I have now done an Inside, Ocean View and Balcony. I will never again waste the money for an Ocean View. All the window does is increase the sun's rays heating up your room. From now on it is either a budget Inside Stateroom or spend the money for a Balcony. The service on the ship was very good. I never ran into anyone who wasn't helpful. I was very surprised that I wasn't constantly getting hit up for drinks on the pool deck, the was very nice. Speaking of the pool deck, this was another area of somewhat of a complaint. It was a ghost town out there every night, except the one night they had an organized activity. They really need to make better use of the area at night. The shows where of mixed quality. The Jean Ann Ryan production shows where awful. We sat through about half of the first one before leaving, and about 15 minutes of the second one. We didn't even bother with the third one. I live in Las Vegas, and these shows wouldn't even be good enough to play at a downtown casino, much less the strip. The Second City was a very pleasant surprise. I didn't want to go, but my friend wanted to go, so I tagged along. Shark Bait was very good. Te comedian they had on board was not very good. I heard several people saying the same thing about him. O What A Night was alright. It wasn't great, but it was certainly worth the hour to see it. I just felt that the voices of the singers where not quite strong enough to pull it off. All in all, we had a great time, and will be cruisin again soon. The ship is in great shape.

Cabin OC

For two people, there was plenty of room, no issues of any kind. Rather quiet in the cabin. No complaints about the room at all, other than the A/C never really got cold.
