My last name is Scandanavian and I have always wanted to travel the Baltic. That is Viking's home territory and I figured, correctly, that it would be a great trip.

We upgraded to a Junior Suite and found it to be a very roomy suite with a great view. The no-extra-charge room service we used at breakfast quickly became a habit. Meals were delicious we particularly like Manfredi's Italian menu. The self serve restaurant offered varying choices always of high quality. My wife loved the availability of gelato. The spa was great for her with back problems and the massages helped. It was a treat to find a band and majorettes performing for us dockside in Gdansk. The ship is small enough to be friendly and large enough for plenty of variety. I tried the larger ships once and thought I would never go on another cruise.

We had a great choice of excursions and enjoyed all, particularly the bus/train ride up to the Hardangervidda in Norway, the scenery was fantastic. We also got to see the Vasa in Stockholm a long time dream of mine.

Cabin Review

Cabin Junior Suite

Our cabin was dividable into a living area and a bedroom. I like that in case my wife wants to stay up and watch TV. The walk in shower was large enough for two and had heated floors. There was a large vanity area that easily accommodated both of us at the same time. The bed was very comfortable. The min-bar contain soft drinks, beer and liquor as well as some candy and nuts. It was replenished daily as part of the cost of the room. We had free laundry service relieving us of that duty. Our room steward was excellent and always had everything in order for us. There was an abundance of plug ins for USB and 110 volt as well as 220 volt. The WiFi never failed. The balcony was nice and our view was fabulous. We were very close to the Explorer Lounge which was a bonus for us.
