Cabin: Mid-Ship Balcony
First ever cruise so wasn’t sure what to expect. I chose it for the itinerary - especially the GOT filming locations and Venice.
Embarkation and disembarking were easy.
Pros - refitted ship is lovely. Spa was a lovely retreat from the heat and crowds, well worth buying the spa pass.

Lovely cabin but lots of noise from above, going off the deck plan I thought the cabin was underneath the entrance to the buffet but it was well inside - the scraping of chairs was awful at times, especially after 11pm when they were cleaning. You could also hear loud trollies at odd times during the night. The pounding of feet from joggers on deck 13 was also annoying at 6.00am.

Venice
I adore Venice, it is simply exquisite. A 24 hour transport pass is €20 and covers waterbus around Venice and out to the islands also bus to the mainland ( but not airport) .
