We took this cruise eight years ago and decided to take our adult children on it for their first cruise experience.
Everything was wonderful and they enjoyed it immensely. They were very impressed with the food..our son thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts. We mostly ate in the Skyline restaurant which is much nicer than going through the buffet
We were lucky that the captain decided to take the ship south from Hilo at night, so we could see the volcano..it was spectacular..we then turned around , headed north and sailed across the Big Island to Kona.
Our cabin was well taken care of by our steward Ambari..very nice young man and did a great job.
Not a big fan of inside cabins but it was ok for this trip..
