This was our first ever cruise and the Getaway did not disappoint. My wife and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary. We were attracted to Norwegian by their Freestyle Cruising and we can't think of cruising any other way now. The flexibility and variety of NCL's Freestyle Cruising is the way the way to go.
We experienced great service from all that we encountered. From our room Steward to our servers, we were pleased.
We ate most of our breakfasts and a few lunches at the Garden Cafe buffet. The buffet had a good variety and met our needs. O'Sheehan is a nice option since it is open 24 hours. Shanghai's provides a nice Chinese food option. The main dining rooms of The Tropicana Room, Taste and Savor also offered good food in a nice environment. We enjoyed The Tropicana Room with its live music and dancing option for patrons. We ate at three Specialty Restaurants: La Cucina, Moderno and Ocean Blue. Our favorite was Moderno with the variety of meats with Ocean Blue close behind. There is a great variety of food options on this ship.
Cabin Review
Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony
The cabin was spacious and had great storage. There is plenty of space under the bed to store your luggage bags. Being a Mini-Suite, it was nice to have a larger bathroom. Balcony was a nice place to start the morning with a cup of coffee.
